We started Hemiptera in 2025 as students at Maastricht University, from a simple belief: software does not need to be complicated, or unnecessarily expensive.
Everything we do with Hemiptera, we do on our own initiative.
Today we focus on two worlds where a lot of value gets lost: education and the circular economy. Schools deserve digital tools that work. And material that gets thrown away deserves a second life.
Software is our core, but we do more. We deliver technical services, do research, for example into value recovery for schools, contribute for free to projects by foundations and charities, and share what we build as open source.
We prefer to work with people who value quality, clear communication, and a practical approach.
